- Delightfully aromatic, this easy-growing clematis features an abundance of compass point flowers in a dark violet
- Flowers comprise four dark purple petals with yellowish white stamens emerging proudly from the centre. They bloom between July and September and radiate a divine vanilla fragrance
- Allow this plant to scramble casually through beds and borders or dress up a seating area pergola to really make the most of the perfume
- This plant will easily withstand even the coldest UK winters, tolerating temperatures down to -20°C
- Pollinating insects are drawn to the irresistible scent of the flowers and their and bright protruding stamens
- Pruning group 3 – prune your clematis hard (in February or March) to a healthy bud around 30cm or so from the ground
- Please Note: Our climbers are pruned back each winter, and some during the summer, so you may find at certain times of year they do not cover the whole 90cm cane. This is intentional to ensure the best growth when you plant out
