The Story
- Everything you need to create a diverse and attractive livestock-friendly hedge with additional wildlife appeal. This collection consists of hedging plants especially-chosen for their livestock suitability. All of these plants conform to RPA and Natural England BN11 requirements. Each pack contains six hedging plants per square metre (enough to plant a staggered double row).Â
- Chosen to be impenetrable by livestock but not so spiky as to be injurious. Beech is added to the mix for a better windbreak in winter. Please note that the hedge will need to be protected from livestock until established.
- Each pack will be made up of 50% hawthorn and up to 33% beech plus a mix of wildlife attracting native species such as cherry plum, dog rose and dogwood.Â
- Planting a mixed, livestock-friendly hedge helps improve soil stability and air quality, as well as providing a natural habitat for wildlife.
