The Story

  • A summer-fruiting (floricane) variety that continues fruiting as late as some autumn-fruiting varieties, all the way from June to October.
  • Bumper yields (over 2kg per plant) with the fruit holding very well on the bush.
  • Very highly-rated flavour, often used for the best jams.
  • A robust variety, ideal for particularly wet of dry areas of the country.
  • Plant on a sunny spot in rows, with 50cm between canes and tie into supports as they grow. Can even be planted in a large pot (40cm+ in diameter).
  • Floricane (summer-fruiting) variety. Floricane varieties fruit on last year's wood, so it's important to get the pruning right. Cut back the fruited canes after the last harvest, leaving roughly eight that didn't fruit (these will be green stems) to grow next year. These new canes will bear your next harvest.
