The Story
- Everything you need to create a diverse, beautiful hedge with maximum wildlife appeal! This collection consists of bare root UK-native hedging plants, chosen for their performance, colour, form and benefits to fauna.
- Each pack contains five hedging plants per square metre, which is enough to plant a staggered double row.Â
- In every pack (save for the 20m) you'll receive no more than five of any one variety, ensuring maximum variety of interest throughout the year. These are chosen from hazelnut, hawthorn, willow, crabapple, dog rose, sweet cherry, blackthorn, dogwood, rowan, elder, alder, maple, spindle, viburnum and hornbeam.
- Planting a mixed native hedge improves soil stability and air quality, and provides a natural habitat for wildlife. Bees and other pollinating insects are attracted by the flowers in spring, and many bird species will feed on the fruits (as well as nesting in the branches). It will also provide shelter and food for small mammals, like hedgehogs.
