The Story
- A semi-dwarf variety of medlar which makes a great ornamental tree for any size of garden, also producing a good crop of delicious, russet-coloured fruit
- Attractive foliage which turns warm shades of golden orange in autumn
- Medlars need to 'blett' before being eaten - over-ripening to the point of softness. When picked, the fruit should be stored (traditionally it was kept in sawdust in stone jars) until soft
- Makes a fantastic base for fruit jams and jelly
- A small tree of great character, mentioned in Shakespeare and beloved since medieval times
- Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching.
