- Wayfarer is an attractive deciduous shrub with large clusters of flowers in spring
- Large pompom-like heads of white flowers appear in late spring, followed by red berries that ripen to black. The grey-green, toothed leaves turn to scarlet in autumn
- This fully hardy plant can reach a height of 5m but can easily be maintained at 1-3m
- Grows well in any fertile soil and prefers a sunny spot, but can cope with dappled shade once established
- Wayfarer is great for wildlife - the tubular flowers are a hit with butterflies seeking nectar, whilst birds love to eat the berries as well as sheltering in its branches
