- One of the most interesting looking snails, with an ammonite-like shell which is usually brown but can sometimes be red, blue or yellow
- Helpfully eats algae from the sides of your pond, contributing to a clean and healthy ecosystem. They'll also eat dead plant matter and even dead fish
- Need very little care - they'll feed on naturally ocurring matter in your pond
- You'll see a lot of your Ramshorn snails - they live around the edges of the pond and can swim on the surface of the water
- We recommend introducing 5 snails per square metre of pond
- A very hardy species which can adapt to even poor water conditions
- Pulmonate (lung breathing) snails which are hermaphrodite and reproduce asexually
