- While eucalyptus can grow to more than 12m, it responds well to pruning techniques and can be kept as short as just a couple of metres. Grow as a multi-stemmed shrub or train as an upright tree.
- As your eucalyptus matures, it will shed its bark (or, to use the technical term, it will undergo decortication) to leave a patchwork appearance which only adds to its already-hefty charm.
- Known to repel insects like mosquitos, the ‘cider gum’ tree (as it’s often called) is a great choice for planting near water features, ponds, patios and decking.
