- Privet is a dense, semi-evergreen hedge which keeps some of its leaves all winter and flowers in summer, providing year-round interest
- Small green oval shaped leaves with masses of white flowers in summer, followed by round black berries in autumn
- A hardy, fast growing plant which will reach a height of approx 5m but can easily be maintained at 1-4m
- Grows well in most conditions, except for very wet sites. Privet is also suitable for coastal locations, although you may notice some leaf fall during winter
- Somewhat poisonous if ingested. Wear gloves and wash hands after handling
