- A spectacularly showy cherry blossom, 'Candy Floss' (sometimes known by its Japanese name, 'Matsumae-beni-murasaki') wows with its fully double, voluminous pink blooms.
- Alongside the fantastic flowers, the tree also has attractive foliage; starting out with a bronze shimmer, the leaves develop into a fully green colour before finishing up in autumn with fiery shades of orange.
- An interesting feature of this variety is the almost velvety texture the flowers take on as they get older. The petals have a scallop-like frill to them which further adds to their textural quality.
- Fully hardy in nature, 'Candy Floss' will easily withstand whatever the British winter can throw at it. Just plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position and your tree will thrive.
- Growing to an ultimate height of around five metres or so, this medium-sized tree will make an excellent feature tree, or planted as part of a Japanese-style planting scheme.
