The Story

  • Boasting wonderful double flowers in the deepest pink shades, and serrated emerald foliage that wreathes the plant year-round, 'Princess Baciocchi' is as elegant as it is easy to grow - which is pretty darn easy!
  • One of the more vigorous camellias out there, this variety can grow to an ultimate height of roughly eight metres or so (though it can also be pruned to fit a much smaller space if desired, so don't let that put you off).
  • Camellias were originally woodland plants, meaning they grow and flower best in partial/dappled shade, making them ideal for those not lucky enough to be blessed with a sunny, south-facing garden.
  • An ericaceous plant, this camellia will work well in a raised bed alongside other acid-loving plants like blueberries and azaleas.
  • Perfect for Japanese-style planting schemes, alongside acers, ferns and bamboos.
